As we look forward to summer in Wauwatosa, this issue of Tosa Connection aims to provide our readers with a guide to local activities and events. As the seasons change, our magazine is evolving as well. We have settled into a quarterly publication schedule. Tosa Connection will be in-homes every February, May, August, and November. We are proud to present a growing, 48 page magazine balanced with community features and great local businesses. Our 12 feature stories in this issue represent the Tosa-centric focus of our publication, and aim to provide the good people of Tosa with a comprehensive look at what our great city has to offer. Whether you’re an avid Mountain Biker looking for new trails are looking to catch a great summer concert in the park during the Tosa Tonight Concert Series, or simply enjoy a good Haggis taco, you will find this issue entertaining and a great resource around which to plan your summer activities. We also are pleased to have contributions from new sources. Please check out the Springtime Photo Gallery by Frankie Suzanne Garr . We also have a story on raising chickens in an urban environment from new contributor Karen Krumenacher. Chris Barlow returns with the second part in his story on local waterways. We have an update on the State Street Streetscape Project. And, as always, Mayor Kathy Ehley offers her views of Summer in Tosa. These are the days and times that remind us why we love to live here in Wisconsin. Seize the day. Thanks for your support and stay connected, my friends, Peter Haise, Managing Editor
